The Commissioner, Independent Corrupt Practices Commissioner (ICPC) representing Kano State, Alhaji Zayyanu Dan Musa said during a courtesy visit to the hospital.

He said the health care delivery, prevention and detection of corrupt practices in areas of budget, project Monitoring and service delivery.he visit was in recognition of the importance of strategic alliances and partnership between the ICPC and AKTH especially as it concerns the areas of eradicating corruption.
The Commissioner then stated certain areas of mutual interest between the commission and the hospital, which includes roles and responsibilities of ACTU and Management submission of reports by ACTU Public enlightenment and education, newly developed working tools for ACTU (Corruption Risk Assessment, budget monitoring template and ACTU effectiveness index). In addition to trainings on system study and investigation for ACTU members, project tracking and challenges with regards to National Health Insurance Scheme NHIS among others.
Associate Professor Auwal Umar Gajida, Deputy Chairman MAC who represent the Chief Medical Director appreciated the visit. He then briefed the Commissioner on the development of the Hospital, from inception in 1998 with 200 beds to 700 beds capacity as well as the robust dental services available in the hospital.
He assured that the hospital Management always draws the attention of all staff on issues that can constitute corruption.
